The BNB Green Roots Festival will celebrate sustainable urban living in a park that only avoided becoming a highway by the grassroots efforts of communities. Cheer BNB Bike-A-Thon riders as they return from their ride to an outdoor gathering of environmental organizations, neighbors, and friends: featuring live music, food, and thoughtful content including workshops and panel discussions on themes of water, home-improvement, urban toxins, local food, and transportation. We are proud to feature best-selling author Bill McKibben as keynote speaker.

CALLING ALL BIKE RIDERS!

Ride with BNB to support its unique social justice work recycling over 5,000 bicycles annually with programs here in Boston and nations of the Global South, empowering people and communities with sustainable and healthy pedal-power. As a grassroots organization, BNB depends on Bike-A-Thon riders' sponsorship to keep its work going in its 24th year.

CHOOSE FROM NEW, SCENIC 15-, 25-, OR 62-MILE RIDES.

Roll at your own pace; the 15-miler is especially great for families with children. We provide mechanics check-ups, rest stops with food and drink, maps of the beautiful routes, lead riders, following vehicles, a gourmet meal as well as some great prizes. Pre-registration is now required, and riders must raise pledges for BNB. BNB also offers fundraising support and training rides! Register ASAP at www.bikesnotbombs.org or 617-522-0222.

We are excited to embrace another year of concretely promoting bicycle usage, peace and sustainable development!

MISSION STATEMENT:

Lasting peace and social justice require equitable and sustainable use of resources. BNB provides community-based education and assists development projects with recycled bicycles, related technologies and technical assistance, as concrete alternatives to the militarism, over-consumption & inequality that breed war and environmental destruction. Our organization is part of a worldwide movement for peace and responsible stewardship of the earth.
