The Harvest Festival is a fun-filled Quincy family tradition featuring food, games, raffles, crafts, a silent auction, and entertainment. This year’s festival also marks the beginning of the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Wollaston School.
All proceeds from the Harvest Festival will benefit the Wollaston Elementary School. This valuable funding will be used to enrich academic programs, purchase classroom supplies, software, and library books, and fund field trips and in-school assemblies.
This year, the festival will include kids’ activities such as bouncy obstacle courses, face painting, a photo booth and dancing. Performances are expected from a variety of neighborhood organizations, including Irish dancing, martial arts demonstrations and more. And the “Wollaston Midway” will be open on Taylor Street, featuring carnival games with prizes.
The silent auction is expected to be the largest ever, where bidders can win sports memorabilia, rounds of golf, and goods and services from local businesses including restaurants, spas, hotels, and retailers. In addition, the event will feature a range of great raffle prizes, including an iPad mini.
The Harvest Festival is sponsored by the parents and staff of the Wollaston School, in conjunction with many local businesses and community leaders.
