New England Sports Academy-Family Fun DayWe had an amazing time at Family Fun day! It was perfect for two energetic boys (ages 3 and 5). We will definitely be on the watch for it for next year and will highly recommend it to friends. Our only suggestion is that they have more instructors so that the kids could be broken into more groups, so they would be spread out a little more. It was the 1st annual family fun day,l so maybe they did not know how many to expect...
Fun But Needs ImprovementI took my 7 year old to this event this weekend. She had a great time. We enjoyed the open gym as well as some of the organized activities. I understand this is the first time this group has held this event, so it is likely to be a learning experience for them.
The event was a bit crowded, but manageable. I think someone told me that they had 140 kids total. The group activities has about 30+ kids in each with one instructor. The instructors were really good, but 30+ kids is a lot to handle. My daughter did not like the basketball activity as there weren't enough balls for everyone and you had to be really aggressive to get one....
The timing was also off I thought. The event started at 11:30am, so we didn't eat lunch before we got there. Next time, I will pack a healthy lunch for us. All that was offered was cold pizza that had been delivered by Dominos. We ate at 1pm, so I'm not sure how long it had been sitting there, but it was far from fresh. There was also nothing healthy offered, which I found odd given the kids were at a gym.
Lastly, there was no where to sit and eat lunch and no where for parents to sit and observe.
All in all, the kids had a great time and the $10 fee was really reasonable. I would pay more to have less people there next time. I think a few operational changes would make this event a bit smoother in the future.
