East Arlington's merchants and restaurants invite everyone to this free event that celebrates this unique neighborhood. Many of East Arlington's 130 businesses will have sidewalk sales, giveaways, and other promotions. Local restaurants will cook and serve food outdoors. In addition, there will be free popcorn and cotton candy.
Activities
Free activities are scheduled throughout the day, including live music, clowns, crafts for the kids, face painting and much more. Free kiddie rides will include a fun moon bounce, big slide, carousel, basketball hoop and a train ride. Pony rides will once again be located on the lawn of the Trinity Baptist Church at 115 Massachusetts Avenue.
There will be live music throughout the festival and on the lawn of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Festivities will be celebrated along Massachusetts Avenue from the Capitol Theater block to Trinity Baptist Church. During this event, the sidewalks will be widened, resulting in Massachusetts Avenue becoming reduced to two lanes. Parking will be restricted for several blocks in order to accommodate the large crowd expected for this popular event.
