The Essex Historical Society and Shipbuilding Museum, Essex presents a non-stop day of family fun, food and music. Kids will race boats built from apples on the Essex River, participate in a variety of adventures. Mid-afternoon, there’s the famous Boat-O-Matic™ instant boat building contest, when neighborhood teams design and build full-sized boats against the clock and race them down river. Throughout the day, there will be face painting, and live music for all ages.
