Join the American Cancer Society in the fight against breast cancer at the 18th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5 mile walk starting and ending at the DCR Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade in Boston. Form a team or volunteer for this inspiring event that unites the entire community to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, save lives, and create more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
Volunteers are needed the day before the walk Saturday, October 2 to help prepare snack bags for walkers, as well as help set up for the following day’s event. On Sunday, October 3 volunteers are needed to help set up and clean up, cheer on walkers, and act as route monitors. To form a team, register, sign-up to volunteer, or for more information, visit cancer.org/stridesonline, or call 1-800-227-2345.
