snowshoeing for kids gore place photoIn winter when the ground is covered with snow, explore the open spaces and hidden places while wearing snowshoes!

Clad with activity packs and brightly colored snowshoes, children with an adult search for animal tracks with a magnifying glass and periscope, make a pinecone bird feeder, and visit the sheep, goats, rabbits, and chickens on the farm.

Each borrowed backpack comes with a pair of children's snowshoes and activities. Adult snowshoes are also available. This is a great activity for winter school vacation. Best for ages 3-9.

Free parking. Just ring the bell at the Mansion to get your backpack and begin your adventure!

4-starReally nice afternoon
I went with a neighbor friend trakking in the snow one boring winter afternoon. My 3 kids, then ages 5,7 and 9 and her two, ages 7 and 9. The activity pack was well designed however our adventurous kids had some old-fashioned fun in the snow as well as checking out the animals.
5-starA Wonderful Experience
We took 24 school-aged children as part of our science curriculum. It was fabulous to see everyone exploring the grounds for animal tracks, sharing discoveries and just having fun! Beautiful landscape and very friendly and helpful staff at Gore. A must see and do for children and adults anytime!!!
