Among our most beloved wildflowers, trilliums trace their lineage back 60 million years to the great temperate forests that once circled the globe, and these photogenic woodlanders possess a certain refinement and unhurried approach to life that can only come with age.

Of the 48 species in the world, a full 75 percent occur only in the forests of eastern North America.

Join William Cullina for a tour of the genus Trillium, illustrated with gorgeous photographs and exploring the evolution, distribution, and ecology of the plants as well as the charms and eccentricities of the eastern species.
