Additional trains will allow families to enjoy Halloween in the Witch City.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and its provider of Commuter Rail service, Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company (MBCR), announced an increased train service between Boston’s North Station and Salem Station for the annual celebration of Halloween known as Haunted Happenings.

Every year, Haunted Happenings fills the streets of Salem with festive seasonal cheer and events like the Haunted Salem Village at Pioneer Village; the Haunted Happenings Carnival on Derby Street; the Tricks and Treats Magic Show at the Salem Theatre; and the Northeast Animal Shelter Spooktacular, which features a best pet in costume contest.
