Every year, the MA Military Heroes organization plants a Garden of 20,000 Flags in front of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Boston Common to commemorate the Massachusetts service members who have given their lives to defend the United States and our freedom.

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department has announced several Memorial Day observances taking place in City-owned parks and cemeteries.

The Annual Memorial Weekend Craft Festival takes place at the historic Mill Falls Marketplace on Route 3, in lovely Meredith, NH. This free outdoor event takes place rain or shine.

The Sudbury Memorial Day Parade, Ceremonies, and Program is held on the last Monday in May. Sudbury has formally honored its war dead for more than 100 years. The parade and ceremonies honor veterans of all wars that involved Sudbury residents starting with King Philip’s War in 1676.
