This annual concert celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who envisioned a nation of unity and peace, one where all people stand together as equals in harmony. Today, that dream lives in the minds of our children. It is in their abundant and boundless imagination we find inspiration and derive hope for the future.

In his letter from the Birmingham jail written almost 50 years ago, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. expressed his belief that, “we are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.”
In our society, we are often polarized by our differences. Through the power of song, the Boston Children’s Chorus chooses to focus on the ties that bind us to one another as part of a Beloved Community.

BCC is an accomplished children’s singing group with nine choirs and nearly 300 singers ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old. They seek to harness the power and joy of music as a catalyst to unite our diverse communities and inspire social change.
The group has performed at the Democratic National Convention, Gov. Deval Patrick’s Inauguration, with the Boston Pops; and has toured Jordan, Mexico, Japan, Chicago, New York and Oregon.
