America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Parade, which has been touted by the Patriot Ledger as “one of new England’s most successful events”, will feature the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales, military units, marching bands, and spectacular floats.
Bring the kids, bring a blanket, tell a neighbor, and get ready for one of New England’s most exciting events – the America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Parade!
In addition to the parade, other festivities that take place during the Thanksgiving celebration weekend include a performance by Air Force Band, Tops in Blue at Plymouth’s Memorial Hall, to honor American veterans; the New England Food Festival and culinary celebrity competition; and performances by the National Senior Drum and Bugle Corps. Parade attendance is expected to surpass the 2005 attendance, which was estimated by the Plymouth Police Department to be over 140,000.
After enjoyng the lively parade procession packed with bands, floats, historic reenactors, and horses, your family can soak up the past at the Historic Village on Plymouth's waterfront. Families can enjoy Colonial storytelling, music, dance & craft demos, and chat with costumed colonists.
Observe Colonial crafters who will also be weaving and spinning as well as making candles and soap. Sample homemade bread, jams and jelly from the farm stand, while tapping your toes to America’s music. Enjoy live presentations of music and dance from sea chanteys and patriotic refrains to clogging and square dancing. Plan on a day of fun and festivities for the whole family.

The Entire Parade Weekend Was Phenominal!!!, Fri 24 Nov 2006
As a volunteer for the America's Hometown Celebration I can without a doubt say that the parade day experience was one of the best in my life! The parade went off without a hitch and the floats, the bands, the re-enactors were all amazing. The whole parade team donates hours upon hours of their own time to make this event possible as well as sucessful. I would recomend that everyone come and experience the unique heritage of America and the Pilgrims through this great event!!!
Parade, Sun 19 Nov 2006
One of the best parades I have ever seen (and I'm 70!)!! It really gave an aurora to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
