Paper & Chocolate: Albertine Press & Taza Chocolate

Family-friendly fun! The denizens of 561 Windsor Street in Somerville are opening their doors for an open house and holiday extravaganza.

Taza Chocolate will be giving factory tours, chocolate tastings and opening their 'store.'

Upstairs, the folks at Albertine Press will be giving antique letterpress demonstrations (kids can help crank the press!) and sharing their studio space for the day with other paper and book artists Carta, Inc., May Day Studio, PressBound and more.

Free parking is available.

This was a fascinating event for us, but a snooze for my little one. We got to see how a small chocolate company operates, but the samples were tiny and for adult tastes. (I was searching desperately for a tissue to take the chocolate my kid spat out.) We saw interesting old-time printing presses next door; that was about ten minutes. THEY, however, actually had kid food.
