The Providence Preservation Society is proud to once again bring back its Holiday Festival. This family-friendly event will feature a tour of private homes on Saturday, followed by a stroll along Benefit Street, which will be decorated with garlands. Carolers dressed in period costumes will serenade the crowd, holiday shopping of artists; work will be available and chestnuts will be roasted on open flames. This year, PPS will expand its Stroll to include Downtown.

House Tours along Benefit Street (ages 10 and up, need to buy tickets for this portion of the events) - 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Guests will be treated to an up close and personal glimpse of historic Benefit Street architecture adorned for the holidays. This special holiday celebration, a fundraising and educational event for PPS, allows tour guests to view. beautifully preserved buildings dressed up in their finest holiday splendor.

Craft Boutique Sale, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, First Baptist Church, 75 North Main Street

Benefit Street Stroll- 3:00 to 4:30 pm

Downtown Stroll- Procession downtown starts at 4:30 pm (at the Armory at the corner of Meeting and Benefit Streets). Celebrations continue downtown including horse drawn carriage rides, carolers, roasted chestnuts and holiday shopping. Tthe annual tree lighting with Mayor Cicilline will be held at City Hall as part of the PPS Holiday Festival. The Benefit Street and Downtown Stroll will host a procession from historic Benefit Street down through the city and culminate at City Hall. Attendees will be treated to free ice skating, a tree lighting by the Mayor and special offers at downtown Westminster Street shops for fun holiday shopping.
