ice castles nh new hampshire photoEveryone's favorite winter wonderland is returning to North Woodstock, New Hampshire, for the 2024 winter season. Ice Castles tickets* are now on sale for dates Jan 20 - Feb 25.

Ice Castles, an acre of land filled with frozen ice walls, slides, tunnels, towers, thrones and archways illuminated by multicolored lights is adding an ice bar this season.

This year's festivities will once again include horse-drawn sleigh rides, a light walk, a pub ice bar, and a winter fairy village.

The ice castle design will be new this year and will feature slides, tunnels, and other sculptures.

Sleigh Rides
Add a sleigh ride scenic adventure that takes you along an illuminated trail through the woods. Sleigh ride tickets will be available for you to add this experience after you add tickets to your cart. Sleigh rides will not be available from 5pm to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays (1/15, 2/19) and during winter school breaks (2/20-3/3). Sleigh ride tickets can be purchased on site if you select a ticket time between 5-6pm.

Arctic Alcove
Looking for a more private experience for a proposal or other special occasion? Reserve our private Arctic Alcove for an even more memorable moment.

Exact opening date is weather dependent. Tickets to Ice Castles are available online starting November 29, 2023.

It’s fun for people of all ages, too, and its location in Woodstock, New Hampshire is just a two hour drive from Boston. So visiting Ice Castles is a magical (and doable) day trip for folks from the Greater Boston area.

The bar will serve a limited variety of winter-themed alcoholic beverages available for purchase for our guests 21 and up,

Guests will find the towering ice formations that weigh more than 20 million pounds — complete with tunnels, thrones, fountains, slides, and LED lights — on Clark Farm Road in North Woodstock, N.H.

Wondering what it's like to visit Ice Castles? Get a sneak peek in our handy photo guide.

Weather permitting, work on the castles will begin in early January by growing and harvesting up to 10,000 icicles each day, according to the Utah-based company. Davis expects them to open in early January.

And since it's ski season, be sure to check out our guide on all the places you can go skiing near Boston and cross country skiing.

There are over 40 ski venues within driving distance of Boston, including New Hampshire, Vermont & Maine, so you are sure to find a mountain that has the terrain you are looking for.
