Ice Skating at Faneuil Hall Marketplace

What a GREAT idea!!! We love Skating!!

We went to Faneuil Hall after reading this site and it was Great! I had my two kids with me and they both are still new to skating. At first they had some difficulty getting going but later got the hang of it. The plastic rink was the same as on cruise ships and i find that it made learning much easier. It is hard to go very fast but if you know how to skate you will glide along just fine. All an all i would say everyone should try it, and the fact that its an all day pass is great!

So I decided to take my daughter to go Ice skating at Faneuil hall after seeing it listed as an activity on this page. It is synthetic ice . I asked one of the 'nice' guys working there about this material and was told it was ' a little slower than regular ice' which I figured would be okay for my daughter is an intermediate skater and is still learning. He also told me that I didnt have to hold back I could dig right in. So we decided to go for it and we paid 16.00 between ice and skate rentals. As soon as we got on the 'Ice' we realized that it is nothing like actual ice skating. You can't even skate . It was a disappointment. We literally were there for 5 minutes. No refund. I can't believe that something like this is located in Faneuil Hall. It was more like something You'd expect at a traveling carnival. Stick to the Frog Pond !!I only gave it a 1 rating because you have to enter something .
