REI will be providing a limited 'loaner' snowshoes on a first-call, first-served basis. Spectacle Island boasts five miles of hiking trails and the highest point in Boston Harbor, offering spectacular views of the city and the harbor.
The boat will be our 'base lodge', where you can leave your gear and use the restrooms. For those of you who may be hungry, our full service Snack Bar will be open during this event, serving all of your favorites including hot coffee and cocoa, baked goods, popcorn, hot dogs, chowder, and more! Tickets are $14.00, and must be purchased in advance.
This event will happen snow or no snow. In the event of inclement weather, DCR will have a message on the number listed and participants will be notified through the ticketing service.

Depart Boston 11:00 AM
Return to Boston: 2:00 PM

Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes before departure time to allow time for boarding. Limited seating - Reservations are strongly suggested.

Great Outing In Winter, Fri 26 Feb 2010
Cruise to Spectacle Island was enjoyable and fun. The organizing team were good and thorough, and had put together a nice set of things to do. Wouldn't mind doing it again to one of the other islands in the Boston Harbor.
