A sailor’s job was never done! This Labor Day, lend us a hand and try out the hard work a sailor had to do day in and day out.

Visitors to the Museum will be able to balance on a footrope to furl a sail, scrub the deck with a holystone, practice their knot tying skills, and cook a (make-believe) meal.

Try your hand at some specialized sailor jobs and learn to fire an Alka-Seltzer cannon or add waterproofing to the deck.

After all of this exhausting work, don’t forget to take a nap in one of our hammocks! Are you ready to scrub the decks?
