Dr. Richard Ferber, pediatric sleep specialist and author, will discuss how many factors including habits, anxieties, limits, feedings and schedules, interact and should be considered to help a child who is having trouble sleeping. These troubles may include difficulties falling asleep at night, sleeping late enough in the morning, staying asleep, or napping appropriately.

Lecture: 'The Sleepless Child: The Importance of Habits and Schedules'. Time: Reception at 7 p.m., Lecture at 7:30 p.m. Location: Pollard Middle School, 200 Harris Avenue, Needham. Cost: Free to Parent Talk Members, Non-members $20. RSVP: lecture@parenttalk.info. Space is limited; early pre-registration strongly encouraged. Book signing following lecture.
