Well organized - lots of fun!
Suprisingly easy to get to and very well organized. Parking & Shuttle buses were readily available. We actually walked from the parking garage to the event and then took the shuttle back and it was a breeze. Encountered a little hiccup at the Will-Call tent but nothing too outrageous. Lots of good vibes & things to do for the kids. We arrived around noon and bands were already playing around the venue. Three stages. Lots of fun activities for kids & adults alike including frisbee & football tosses, sack races, parachute fun, Chillville area for little kids, and Yogibo had great cushy seating in the Good Kids stage area. So glad the weather held and that we were able to attend this year. It's a big outdoor party full of super nice people. Food choices were plentiful and good. A very nice day overall.
LOVED the Festival in 2010!
We went with friends last year & we all took our kids (2, 4, & 6 yrs olds) and had a great time and thought it was very kid-friendly!! The parking and buses were so organized and quick and dropped you off right at the front gate. There was an entire kid area with a big stage for just kids' bands which did get crowded (free ear plugs provided!), but you could hear the music while the kids played at the fun games & activities that were all around that area. And then lots of other great areas that were fun for the kids too - big rock climbing structure, painting tiles for their huge mural, dog show, stunt shows, free photo booths and a great selection of foods & drinks! Everyone had a blast and can't wait to go back again this year!
2010 wasn't that good
We went last year with a 2yr old and 4 yr old. It really wasn't organized to be kid friendly. Large venue - so stroller was needed. Bus ride with gear wasn't fun as buses were packed and it was a longish ride. Grass field ended up being dusty and dirty. No shade. No juice or milk sold ( but there were lots of beer options) Thankfully Stonyfield was giving out free samples. I'd love to take kids to see Imagination Movers, but really don't want to roll around in dirt again
