Performing music of the Harlem Renaissance, the Berklee World Strings, directed by cellist Eugene Friesen, features an international collection of Berklee's most accomplished and promising soloists, chamber players and fiddlers.

They perform lively programs that typically include new compositions and arrangements from a wide variety of the world’s music.

With a repertoire drawn from Celtic, bluegrass, South American, Arabic, Gypsy, jazz, and classical styles, Berklee World Strings redefines the traditional string orchestra with bright melodies, dance rhythms, improvisation and sparkling interplay.

The evening’s performance will include participants from the Rockport High School string program.
