After a string of hits like “Drive South” and “Letting Go,” as well as multiple gold and platinum-selling albums in the early 90’s, the Illinois-raised singer-songwriter broadened her range in more recent years with diversions into swing and folk.

Her most recent record, 2014’s “Lucky,” features Bogguss interpreting tunes from one of her early mentors and champions- the legendary Merle Haggard.

More of a traditional stylist than the current crop of pop-oriented female country singers, Bogguss has always been a favorite of Music Row’s elite pickers and players.

The luminous-voiced singer has collaborated with icons like guitarist Chet Atkins, Western Swing legend Ray Benson, bluegrass superstar Alison Krauss, and of course, honky-tonk hero Merle Haggard.
