Polymnia’s family-friendly spring concert, “A Celtic Celebration” will be held at Memorial Hall in Melrose. The concert will feature Irish folk tunes, including the choral suite, “Letters from Ireland,” “The Cliffs of Doneen,” “Molly Malone,” “The Wild Rover,” and “The Wearing of the Green.” Melrose resident Brendan Carroll, one of the Boston Irish tenors, will perform, as will a troupe of Irish step dancers from Goulding School of Irish Dance.
Tickets are available for advance purchase at Melrose Drug, Sweet Thoughts, Breads ‘N Bits of Ireland, and the Camera Connection, all in Melrose. Tickets may also be purchased from Polymnia Choral Society members or by calling 781-665-5857.
Polymnia Choral Society is under the direction of Dr. Michelle Graveline.The Polymnia season is partially sponsored by a grant from the Melrose Cultural Council, an agency of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
