The concert will feature works such as Saint-Saëns's The Carnival of the Animals and Danse Macabre for Two Pianos, Ravel’s virtuosic violin piece Tzigane, among many others.
The charity concert was first organized in 2011 when musicians in the Greater Boston area came together in an effort to raise money for the victims of the Great Northeast Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.
After two successful years, the group is expanding its mission this season to benefit local causes.
The Boston Charity Concert also gives an exciting performance opportunity to help inspire the next generation of young musicians.
