This event will feature 12 hours of classical music as a healing response to the increasing violence in our nation. A minute of silent reflection will take place each hour at the beginning of each concert.

Presented by Riverview Chamber Player, this ArtWeek Boston event will feature 12 hours live classical chamber music concerts, from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, as a healing response to the increasing violence in our nation.

A minute of silent reflection will take place each hour on the hour at the beginning of each concert set.

Music will be performed by string, woodwind, brass, vocal, and piano ensembles.

Guests are invited to come and go throughout the day and to leave messages of hope on site, in writing or short video clips.

It will be free and open to the public.

Gun violence affects every sector of our society.

Innocent people are being killed in our homes, on our streets, in our schools, theaters, places of worship, and at work.

Just two blocks away from the historic Arlington Street Church, another kind of violence erupted: two bombs exploded during the 2013 Boston Marathon, killing three, injuring hundreds, and terrifying our entire community.

What do we do with our fear?

How do we handle the anguish of losing a loved one—a child, a mother, other family members, friends, colleagues, and neighbors?

How do we heal from this?

One way to heal is to come together for “Harmony & Hope: Responding to Violence with Music.”
