The Jewish captive Daniel confronts the tyrannical Belshazzar in this magnificent musical play from 12th-century France. Newly staged for modern audiences by Artistic Director Anne Azéma.

Our powerful, highly-praised production returns to Boston as part of a national tour.

The themes of justice and of truth spoken to power are front and center as the Jewish captive Daniel confronts the tyrannical Belshazzar.

This magnificent musical play of Daniel, composed eight centuries ago in Beauvais, France, was transcribed from the original manuscript source and newly staged for modern audiences by Artistic Director Anne Azéma.

Featuring Jordan Weatherston Pitts as Daniel, Jason McStoots as Belshazzar, and Joel Frederiksen as Darius; with the Trinity Choristers and young professionals from the Longy School of Music of Bard College.
