Community Music Festival, 2–5 p.m.:
Lexington Symphony is proud to host this free concert at Cary Hall that showcases local musical ensembles that represent the variety of cultures in our community.

Building on the success of last year’s festival, there will also be “instrument petting zoos” so the whole family can try out various musical instruments.

Celebrate the diversity and talent we have right here in Lexington in one fun, family-friendly afternoon.

More surprises to come…

Music from the Movies, 7:30 p.m. (not part of subscription series)
Following the afternoon festival, join Lexington Symphony for an evening of cinema’s most iconic music, played by a live orchestra.

This is music from the silver screen as you’ve never heard it before: Experience everything from Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo and Henry Mancini's Peter Gunn to Danny Elfman's Batman Returns and Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings.

How would the film change with different music?

What stirs the viewer to feel love or fear or pride when they’re watching a film?

Discover how this thrilling and beloved music created some of cinema's greatest moments.

Please note that the Community Music Festival from 2-5 p.m. is free and open to the public, but the Music from the Movies concert at 7:30 p.m. is a ticketed event.
