summer bcmfest photoPassim’s Summer Boston Celtic Music Festival (Summer BCMFest) will return to Harvard Square on Sunday, July 7th.

The day-long festival will feature a live music brunch, a free outdoor concert and a special evening performance by Keith Murphy & Becky Tracy and Ship in the Clouds.

Tickets for the evening performance are on sale now.

Live Music Brunch
The festival kicks off with a special Celtic edition of the Live Music Brunch series at Club Passim from 10 AM - 2 PM featuring fiddle duo Jacob Brillhart & Rachel Reeds.

Free Street Concert
At 2:30 PM, the festivities shift to Palmer Street for a free concert featuring Celtic fiddle-cello duo Giulia and Caroline followed by Fade Blue at 3:45 PM. Fade Blue blends Irish, Scottish and Cape Breton influences and the band will be joined onstage by traditional Irish dancers.

Ticketed Evening Performance
Summer BCMFest wraps up with a ticketed evening performance by Keith Murphy and Becky Tracy and Ship in the Clouds starting at 7 PM.

Keith Murphy and Becky Tracy
Keith Murphy and Becky Tracy are a Vermont-based husband-and-wife duo are dynamic interpreters of the numerous music traditions found in New England and the Northeast, from Irish to Quebecois to the Canadian Maritimes and more.

Ship in the Clouds
Boston-based traditional Irish band Ship in the Clouds includes fiddler Laura Feddersen, guitarist Nathan Gourley, and Bodhran player Anna Colliton. All three are dedicated members of the Irish music session community and have performed at BCMFest several times.

Passim’s Summer BCMFest is tailored after the annual BCMFest, a gathering held each January to celebrate Greater Boston’s richness of music, song and dance from Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton and other Celtic traditions. Like it's winter counterpart, Summer BCMFest showcases the diversity of sounds and styles found in Boston’s Celtic music community.

Tickets for the evening performance are $18 ($10 for members) and available at www.clubpassim.org, by calling 617-492-7679 (9:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday) or at the Club Passim box office. Club Passim is located in Harvard Square at 47 Palmer St., Cambridge, MA 02138.
