The Matt Savage Trio, helmed by 15-year-old jazz prodigy Matt Savage, will record their upcoming live album “Hot Ticket: Live in Boston with The Matt Savage Trio” over the course of two concerts at the prestigious, state-of-the-art Distler Performance Hall at Tufts University.

“Hot Ticket” will stay true to its name by featuring a number of new upbeat compositions, written by Savage, as well as a host of favorites from the Matt Savage Trio’s previous albums, including their 2006 acclaimed fifth CD, “Quantum Leap.” Says Savage, 'I want this recording to be a fusion of familiar rhythms and a blast of new sounds that will wow people from start to finish.'

At just 8 years old Matt Savage was already jamming on piano for Dave Brubeck and since then he has played with countless jazz legends, shared the stage twice with Chaka Khan, and lit up the likes of Lincoln Center and the famed New Orleans Jazz Festival. Along with the newest members of the band, Dave Robaire (on bass) and Joe Saylor (on drums), the Matt Savage Trio made a splash on 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien' this past December - prompting Conan to exclaim 'You blew my mind. That was incredible!'
