The world's historic whaling capital will become the nation's wine capital during this year's annual Nantucket Wine Festival.
This event-rich weekend will provide opportunities to sample some of the finest wines from many great viticultural areas as presented by the winemakers or their representatives and to enjoy events in some of the island's grandest private houses and other places not open to the public. The focal point of the Nantucket Wine Festival is the Grand Tasting, at which more than 150 of the world's great wineries will be pouring their wines. New this year: the Grand Tasting will be moving to downtown Nantucket, to the Mad Hatter Meadow Pavilion located between the White Elephant Hotel and the Harbor House Hotel.
Throughout the week, there will be many options to learn more about wine, its interplay with food, and the role both play in Nantucket's past and present.
Note: Attendance is extremely limited at all wine tastings listed under Great Wine in Grand Houses. Pre-registration is required for all events. To avoid disappointment, reserve your tickets as soon as possible.
All programs are subject to change, and tickets will be sold only to those 21 years of age or older. Please have a valid photo ID with you for admission to all events.
