Annual regional Spring Planting Moon Pow-Wow and Native American Crafts Festival, sponsored by the Mass. Center for Native American Awareness (MCNAA. It will take place at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, Route 3A, Marshfield, MA.

Native American Drumming & Singing will be performed by the Iron River Singers of Southeastern Mass., the Eastern Medicine Singers of Rhode Island, and the Neegootkoog Traditional Singers of New Brunswick, Canada.

There will also be dance demonstrations as well as general inter-tribal dancing featured at this educational cultural awareness event.

There will also be Storytelling in the tipi; Native games outside the tipi; and a Resource, Information, and Membership Table.

Native Games – these are self-directed games that you can play throughout the day. They include the corn-cob dart throw, Indian jump rope, pine cone toss, stick drop and more. They challenge the person on a personal level with eye and hand coordination and throwing skills.

Arts and Crafts will be on sale for the weekend. Some of the craftwork and items include: Wampum jewelry, Beaded jewelry, Silver & turquoise jewelry, Corn Husk dolls, Furs, Stones, Wall paintings, Leather-fringe Jackets, Native-themed Clothing & Hats, Bamboo Musical Instruments, Ponchos, Rattles, Blankets, and so much more.

Some of the Traditional Native foods for sale will be offered by:
“Then and Now Native Foods” of Attleboro – foods include pow wow tacos, buffalo burgers, corn soup, Passamaquoddy fry bread, succotash, rez steak, salmon, and other dishes.

From Boston I-93 South to Route 3 South to Route 139 East (exit 12) toward Marshfield. Continue on Route 139 for approx. 2.7 miles, then take left onto Main Street (Route 3A). Marshfield Fair Grounds on right.

From Rhode Island I-95 North to Route 128 to Route 3 toward Cape Cod. Take Route 139 (exit 12) toward Marshfield. Continue on Route 139 for approx. 2.7 miles, then take a left onto Main Street (Route 3A). Marshfield Fair Grounds on right.

From Cape Cod Route 6 West to Route 3 North to Route 139 East (exit 12) toward Marshfield. Follow Route 139 for approx. 2.7 miles. Take left onto Main Street (Route 3A). Marshfield Fair Grounds on right.
