Kids: Get out on the water this summer! Haul the sails aboard the Schooner Ardelle and discover the fascinating science of Gloucester Harbor during this week long summer program!

During this week-long program kids will spend mornings on the water and afternoons at our harborfront campus.

We’ll haul the sails aboard our flagship, the Schooner Ardelle and discover the fascinating science of Gloucester Harbor!

Haul a lobster trap and find a community of wriggling crustaceans, lower an underwater camera in search of bottom-dwelling fishes, or tow a plankton net to collect microscopic marine life.

In our outdoor Aquarium, kids will get a chance to touch, hold, and feed unusual lobsters, hermit crabs, sea stars, and stingray-like skates.

In our video microscope lab, kids will view live plankton, from high-speed copepods to larval sea worms!

Through ocean themed art projects, such as fish printing and chalk art, children will further investigate marine ecosystems.
