garden in the woods photoThis ever-changing living museum - New England's premier wildflower garden - has more than 1600 kinds of plants, with many rare and endangered native specimens throughout the gardens, as well as the unique 'New England Garden of Rare and Endangered Plants.'

Many special family events and activities throughout the year, see website for detailed schedule.

Plants are on sale from mid-April through September at Garden in the Woods Nursery - now the largest native plant nursery in New England.



Visit the Museum Store, and Native Plant Nursery. All proceeds support conservation. Informal guided tours at 10 am weekdays, 2 pm weekends, no reservations necessary.

The Garden opens for the 2018 season on Sunday, April 15.
Members' opening: Saturday, April 15.
Open daily through mid-October, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

$14 Adults (18-64) $10 Seniors (65+) / Students with current valid ID $6 Youths (6-17) Children under 5 admitted free Active servicemen and women and their spouses admitted free with valid military ID Veterans receive 50 percent discount with proof of service. Members admitted Free.

Garden in the Woods: Located at 180 Hemenway Road in North Framingham, Massachusetts. A 40-minute drive from Boston or Worcester.
from North, South, East --Take Route 128 to Route 20 W; go 8 miles on Route 20 to Raymond Road (2nd left after traffic lights in South Sudbury); go south 1.3 miles to Hemenway Road and bear right up the hill to the entrance.

from West -- Take Massachusetts Turnpike. (Exit 12) to Route 9 E; go 2.4 miles to Edgell Road exit; turn left at the lights at the top of the exit ramp onto Edgell Road (Route 9 overpass); go 2.1 miles to the traffic lights; take a right onto Water Street and a left onto Hemenway Road. Go north 1.0 miles (the road name changes to Eisenhower Road, but keep going). Turn left onto Catherine, and left again on Hemenway after one block (up a one-way road) to the entrance.
