Spectacle Island (105 acres) features a marina, visitor center, cafe, a life-guarded swimming beach, and five miles of walking trails that lead to the crest of a 157 foot-high hill, offering panoramic views of the harbor and the city. Supervised beach swimming is offered daily from June 23 to Labor Day.

Harbor Islands Express is the ferry transportation provider for the Boston Harbor Islands national park. Bring a stroller or a backpack carrier for little ones to walk the trails.
Bring swim suits in the summer if you want to swim at the beach.
There are open spray-off showers on the pier to remove sand after the beach
Scout out an open lounge chair on the deck of the info center for some relaxing views
