Serious gerbil owners and breeders may compete for the Best-in-Show honors. Amateur gerbilists can enter their pets in a fun Pet Class competition with ribbons awarded for Cutest Face, Fastest Wheel Runner, Friendliest, Best Shoulder Rider and the like. Pets may also compete for the title of Best Chewer or Fastest HamTrak Racer in the “Gerbil Olympics.' There will be a special “Year of the Rat” exhibit, plus exotic small pets, animal exhibits, specialty merchandise, and a raffle and silent auction.
