Saturday Riverfront Concert
The fun begins on Saturday with the Riverfront Concert beginning at 3:00 pm in Waterfront Park.
Laser Sailboat Races
Make sure to come early and watch the Laser Sailboat Races in the Merrimack River beginning at 12:30. There will also be fabulous food booths in Market Square, and of course lots of great shopping and dining. Click here for more detailed information on the Riverfront Festival and the performers.
Sunday Music in Market Square
The music continues on Sunday with Four Piece Suit in Market Square from 1 - 4 pm. There will also be fabulous food booths in Market Square, and of course lots of great shopping and dining.
Food & Drink
In addition to the dozens of amazing Newburyport restaurants and eateries, there will be a number of vendors in Market Square selling everything from hamburgers and lobster rolls to chicken masala and egg rolls.
About Waterfront Park
This great free concert will be staged in Waterfront Park, right in the heart of Historic Downtown Newburyport.
Waterfront Park is a Private Park maintained by the Waterfront Trust. Attendees are asked to please be respectful of the park. Take care to preserve the plantings, grass and trees that make Waterfront Park such a jewel in the downtown.
Parking
There will not be a shuttle service to the concert.
There are 3 municipal lots downtown - which are free.
They are located at Green & Merrimac Streets, State and Harris Streets (next to the Library) and on Prince Place.
There are 2 lots run by the Newburyport Redevelopment Authority which will be charging for parking. They are located at either side of Waterfront Park along Merrimac Street (West Lot) and Water Street (East Lot)
You may also park in legal spots on the street. If you park in a nearby neighborhood, please be respectful of residents and all parking laws - do not block fire hydrants or driveways. Police will ticket or tow all cars which are parked in illegal spaces.
Restrooms
Public Restrooms are located at the far end of Waterfront Park in a small gray building next to the Information Booth, there will be portable restrooms in this area also. There are also public restrooms at the Newburyport Police Station, the Firehouse Center for the Arts, The Black Cow Tap & Grill and Richdale.
