A birth circle is a gathering of women. It's a chance to meet people, to share experience and to ask questions about the journey to motherhood in a non-judgmental, supportive environment. It’s an opportunity to tell your birth story and be heard, to process your birth story in new ways, to listen to a a range of experiences as you prepare to birth your baby, to ask questions about birth, babies and parenting, to connect with other pregnant and new moms in the community, and maybe meet some birth professionals as well.
Each circle will be hosted by a co-sponsoring institution in different locations around the Boston area and will be focussed around a theme. Other host locations include Temple Israel of Natick, Temple Aliyah in Lexington, and Temple B'nai Brith in Somerville.
June's Theme: Expectations - What did or do you think it would be like, to be pregnant, to give birth, to be a parent? How did you expect to feel, to act, to respond? How did your expectations compare with your experience? What went as planned? What surprised you?
