SOBO MomsConnect offers facilitated support groups for new mothers and their babies (newborns - 5 months) who live south of Boston. Groups of 8-12 moms and their babies meet for eight consecutive weeks.
The purpose of our groups is to build community. Many of our groups continue meeting together long after we are there to facilitate them. We offer an opportunity for new moms to get out of the house, gather together and share common experiences of motherhood. Each weekly meeting offers time for sharing, support, information and discussion on a variety of topics, such as: feeding and sleeping patterns, establishing routines, soothing fussiness and gas, relationship issues, returning to work, child care choices and much more.
We create an online discussion board for each group and help coordinate weekly outings. These outings are to places such as parks, coffee shops, public museums and each others' homes. These non-facilitated outings are a very special part of our groups and a great way for the group to grow in intimacy and trust, so that after the eight weeks are finished, the group will continue meeting for years to come.

$185 for eight weeks. Price includes 2 hour weekly sessions, a planned outing a week for the group and access to an online network so moms can stay connected with one another both during and after the group meets.
