In the spirit of all things Irish, Patriot Place is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day throughout the day on March 12 at the second annual Patriot Place Irish Festival. The festive event will include live performances by Irish musicians and step dancers, as well as Irish food and art. A variety of Patriot Place restaurants will offer specialty St. Patrick’s Day menus, and many retailers will have unique Irish-themed products. In addition to the scheduled performances listed below, Patriot Place patrons will enjoy face painting stations, caricature art, special giveaways and more.
Event Highlights
11:00 a.m. Live musical performance by The Exiles, an exhilarating traditional Irish instrumental dance group.
12:00 p.m. Irish step dancing performance by The Harney Academy of Walpole, Mass.
Irish art display by the Foxborough Art Association.
St. Patrick’s Day party at the ‘Life is good’ store in the North Marketplace.
1:00 p.m. Live musical performance by Shananagans, a mainstay in the New England music scene for the last 22 years.
2:30 p.m. Live musical performance by Wild Rovers, a diverse Boston-based Irish group with music ranging from traditional Irish to pop and country.
2:30 – 4:30 p.m. Irish-themed skating exhibitions at Winter Skate presented by Reebok, featuring double/triple jumps and spins.
3:30 p.m. Irish step dancing performance by Dunleavy Shaffer School of Irish Dance in Norwell, Mass.
4:30 p.m. Live musical performance by Celtic Clan, a primarily Irish band that blends traditional Irish sounds with rock, Top 40, comedy and plenty of audience participation.
The Irish Festival begins at 11 a.m. on a special stage in the Patriot Place North Marketplace outside the Life is good store. All live performances will be in the Patriot Place North Marketplace, with the exception of the skating exhibitions at Winter Skate presented by Reebok.
