Act 1 Summer Festival Shows for 2012The Phantom Tollbooth, Jr.
music by Arnold Black
lyrics by Sheldon Harnick
book by Norton Juster and Sheldon Harnick
based on the novel by Norton Juster
Based on the classic children's novel, this ingenious fantasy follows Milo, a bored ten-year-old who comes home to find a large toy tollbooth sitting in his room.
Joining forces with a watchdog named Tock, Milo drives through the tollbooth's gates and begins a memorable journey, meeting such characters as the foolish, yet lovable Humbug, the Mathemagician, and the not-so-wicked 'Which.' Soon, Milo is given the 'impossible' mission of returning two princesses to the Kingdom of Wisdom.
