Puppet Playtime is a fun, interactive performance experience designed for very young children (0-3). In each hour-long session, two friendly performers guide children (and their grown-ups) through free play, sing-a-longs, stories, and imagination games.

Join us for our 40th Anniversary Season with an interactive performance for toddlers and tiny tots (and their grownups)!

Puppet Playtime is a fun, interactive performance experience designed for very young children (0-3).

In each hour-long session, two friendly performers guide children (and their grown-ups) through free play, sing-a-longs, stories, and imagination games.

Puppet characters appear throughout to introduce the theme of the day and to join in the fun, and each session ends with a short puppetry performance.

Single Session:
$25 per child-adult pair
($10 additional child, $15 additional adult, $20 member adult/child pair)

Flexible 5-Session Pass:
$100 ($75 members)

About the Artists:

Phil Berman is a Boston-based actor, guitarist, and dramaturg.

He loves writing original music for kids, and is thrilled to be performing at Puppet Showplace Theater.

Phil is a member of the puppet company Free Hands Productions, with whom he created 'The First Person to Consider the Sun' and 'Three Blessed Brothers.' Phil has a BFA from Boston University.

Brenda Huggins is an educator and theatre artist who has taught puppetry classes to students of all ages throughout greater Boston area.

She received her MA in theatre Education at Emerson college after studying vocal performance at Western Connecticut State University.

Her work as a director, costume designer, and solo performer has been seen throughout the New England region.

Bella Monster was created by Jonathan Little of Little's Creatures and has been Puppet Showplace Theater's 'monster in residence' since 2011.

She enjoys puppet shows, singing, and the color pink.

We are directly across the street from the Brookline Village T stop, which is on the D train of the Green Line. We are also close to stops for the 39, 65 and 66 buses. You can view various T stops by going to www.mbta.com. There is metered street parking on Station Street and Kent Street surrounding the theater, and a parking garage at Brookline Place. Parking is allowed for two hours. Parking is free on Sundays, holidays, and after 6:00pm.
