For one weekend each year, the ArtsFest transforms the grounds of Merrymount Park into an artistic hub complete with artwork, live entertainment, crafters and children's activities that has become an autumn highlight for many Quincy families.Quincy ArtsFest is one of the finest art shows in Eastern Massachusetts. Held under tents on the lawn at the Richard J. Koch Family Park and Recreation Complex in Merrymount Park, Quincy ArtsFest hosts the finest art, photography and children's artwork around.
The beauty of the artwork is rivaled only by the natural beauty of surrounding Merrymount Park. Live entertainment provides fun all weekend. Activities abound for children.
Sponsored by the Quincy Art Association and the Quincy Park & Recreation Departments, ArtsFest features a Juried Art show, Juried Photography show, Quincy Art Association Members' show and a Young Artists' show.
The Quincy ArtsFest is always held the weekend two weeks after Labor Day.
