Museum Passes at your Local Library
Free and discounted passes to many Boston museums are available to library card holders at local branch libraries. Check your local branch to learn more about museum passes.

Harvard Museum of Natural History
Free Sundays 9am to noon, Wednesdays 3 to 5pm September to May.

Institute Of Contemporary Art
Free for all from 5:00pm to 9:00pm every Thursday for ICA Free Thursday Nights
Free for families (up to 2 adults accompanied by children 12 and under) on the last Saturday of each month with the exception of December.

John F. Kennedy Library and Museum
Free on JFK's birthday and on Presidents Day

Museum Of Fine Arts
Free or by voluntary contribution every Wednesday from 4:00pm to 9:45pm. With approximately 450,000 objects in the collection, there's always something new on view. The Museum also runs several open houses throughout the year.

Worcester Art Museum
Free Saturdays 10 am to noon, children 17 and under free everyday.

Tour the Statehouse
Free Tours last approximately 30-45 minutes and include an overview of the history and architecture of the State Capitol. Weekdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed on weekends and holidays.

Climb the Bunker Hill Monument.
Climb the 294 steps to the top of the Monument for great views of Boston. 9 am - 5 pm. Monument closes to climbing at 4:30pm.

Walk the Freedom Trail
The Trail, marked by a red line, takes the visitor to 16 historical sites and covers two and a half centuries of America's most significant past. You can take a self-guided tour or one of the many tours available through the National Park Service.

Tour the USS Consititution
USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world. Free tours every 30 minutes from Tues-Sun, 10am - 5:50pm. Last tour starts at 4:30pm.

See a Movie or Concert at the Hatch Shell (Summer)
The Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade features free outdoor events throughout the summer including Boston Pops Concerts, 4th of July fireworks, movies and concerts.

Garden in the Woods
At the New England Wild Flower Society. Free on Earth Day.

Check Out the Street Performers at Faneuil Hall Marketplace (Summer)
Experience a festival every day! Faneuil Hall Marketplace features jugglers, clowns, magicians, mimes and musicians.

Take the Kids to the Children's Museum
Boston Children's Museum is proud to partner with Target to present Target $1 Friday Nights, every Friday evening from 5-9pm, when families can enjoy the entire museum for $1.

Discovery Museums - Acton
First Friday Night Free! OPEN late and FREE from 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM Friday

Second Fridays at MIT Museum
Enjoy performances, demonstrations, and lectures throughout the galleries on the second Friday of each month - 5:00pm - 8:00pm.

Children's Museum of New Hampshire - Free Family Fun Night
First Monday of each month enjoy a free family fun night at the Museum from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
