When school's out, the EcoTarium is the place to be. Each February, April and December, our education team cooks up creative ways to learn and have fun -- all designed especially for school-age kids and their families. February 21-24, 2012
It's Electric!
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Spark up vacation week by exploring electricity in technology and biology -- because you're electric, too! Experiment and play with Snap Circuits, swap 'electrons' as a human copper atom, learn about electronics you can wear, and make a wearable wrist cuff that lights up (small materials fee required).
Snap Circuits and wrist cuff activities will be offered daily from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Other activities and demonstrations will be scheduled throughout each day.
In addition, a 19th-century Peas Work construction activity will be ongoing throughout each day.
About the EcoTarium
The EcoTarium is a unique indoor-outdoor museum offering three floors of interactive exhibits, wildlife habitats, interpretive nature trails, a digital planetarium, and a narrow-gauge railroad. The EcoTarium, located at 222 Harrington Way in Worcester, Mass., is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sundays 12 to 5 p.m.
