FEBRUARY VACATION WEEK

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum offers several family-oriented activities and programs throughout February vacation week, including the annual signature Presidents’ Day Family Festival featuring presidential storytelling, activities and performances.

Presidents’ Day Family Festival

Save the Date: Monday, February 17, 2020 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

In celebration of Presidents’ Day, the JFK Library will host its ninth annual Family Festival featuring presidential storytelling, creative activities, musical performances, and Museum tours and hands-on programs to bring the Library to life in new ways for all ages.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, special activities and performances will highlight the importance of voting and women's contributions to American history.

Programs and Activities
Meet Our Special Guests
Actors portraying past presidents and other historical figures share stories and engage visitors in conversation.

Enjoy Performances
Special performances can be enjoyed by the whole family. Join us for a closing concert of popular music from the 1960s and today.

Family-Friendly Tours and Hands-on Carts
Learn about President Kennedy and his legacy with interactive programs in the Museum galleries including Race for Space Discovery Cart, Stranded at Sea: JFK and the PT 109 and Jacqueline Kennedy: Hands-on Discovery Cart.

Hands-on 'Make and Take' Activities
Try out hands-on-history crafts including creating a space helmet and making iconic accessories to meet our guest presidents. Participants can celebrate presidential history with a wide-range of creative activities for various age groups.

Admission

Special Festival Day activities are free with paid admission. Visitors ages 17 and under are admitted free of charge. EBT, military, and student discounts are available. For all other visitors, visit us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram for a special buzzword that will give you $2 off admission prices. The Family Festival is especially appropriate for ages 5 and up.
