A love of books and reading is a lifelong treasure passed from adult to child, from generation to generation.
Enjoy a literary inspired family program (scroll to page 3 for a full calendar of Family Trees programs and events).
NY Times best-selling author and popular ABC & NBC correspondent Cokie Roberts is the 20th Annual Family Trees Honorary Chairperson.
The focus on children’s literature makes the Concord Museums’ Family Trees beloved and special among the many holiday events in Greater Boston.
Each tree serves as a canvas for the artistic creations of a dedicated team of volunteer decorators.
Inspired by the storyline, the illustrations, the characters or setting of a particular book, the decorators let their imaginations take flight, much to the delight of visitors of all ages from all over New England and beyond.
From the Honorary Chairperson (Cokie Roberts in 2015) to the tree decorators, program book editors, visiting authors and beyond, Family Trees is a volunteer effort and all funds raised benefit the educational programming initiatives at the Concord Museum.
