The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce returns to terrify guests on weekends starting September 27th. Rides open at 5pm, and The Haunted Graveyard gates open at dusk to take you on a terrifying 45 minute indoor/outdoor journey through darkly glittering catacombs to an eerie graveyard, to a vampire’s haunt, to a witch’s lair, then onto a misty lake and an ancient temple!
In addition to the haunted graveyard feature, just walking around the park is great fun. You’ll find a small haunted pond, and a graveyard with fog effects, where at scheduled times actors will come out to dance Michael Jackson’s Thriller and other Halloween themed songs.
Most of the park rides are still open and you can amuse yourself with classic carnival games. You can also sit around a fire pit to warm up and unwind a bit. You can also buy s’mores, hot chocolate, fudge, or a caramel apple to round out your fall outing.
