The Brush Art Gallery and Studios is pleased to announce an event which will honor Rosemary Noon, a well-known cultural leader in the community.

“An Evening for Rosemary Noon,” will be held at the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center on Warren Street in Lowell on April 29.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00 PM followed by dinner at 7:00 PM and a program beginning at 7:30 PM.

This will be an opportunity for organizations Noon has worked with to join together and acknowledge her many achievements.

Cultural leaders will share a few words about the guest of honor and entertainment will be performed by Ralph Funaro.

Early in her career as Assistant Director of Cultural Affairs at the Lowell Historic Preservation Commission, U.S. Department of the Interior, Rosemary Noon was instrumental in the initial success of the Brush.

She has continued to serve Lowell and the broader cultural community in various roles: Director of the Lowell Office of Cultural Affairs, Director of the Fine Arts Center and co-chair of the Museum Studies program at Regis College, Adjunct Faculty in Art History at UMass Lowell, Assistant Director of the Lowell Plan, Director of the Public Matters leadership development program, past chair and current board member of the New England Quilt Museum, former Pollard Memorial Library Trustee, past chair and current board member of the Pollard Memorial Library Foundation, and current member of the Lowell Cemetery Board of Trustees and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
