The Boston Wine Expo will be toasting to its 26th anniversary this President’s Day weekend (February 18 and 19, 2017) at the Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center.

Produced and managed by Conventures, Inc., in collaboration with the Boston Guild of Oenophilists, this winter tradition is one of the country’s biggest celebrations of wine, food and culture.

This year’s lineup includes wines from around the world, culinary tastings, Vintners’ Reserve Lounge sessions and VIP experiences, interactive seminars and celebrity chef demonstrations.

GRAND TASTING:
The Grand Tasting gives guests a global adventure in a glass.

Whether your palate prefers a full-bodied Pinot Noir, buttery Chardonnay, an elegant Cabernet Sauvignon or a dry Pinot Grigio, the Boston Wine Expo will bring the biggest, boldest and best flavors from the vine to Boston.

Featuring over 200 producers and more than 1,800 wines from around the world, oenophiles will travel through the expansive space – sans passport – swirling and sipping their way to “connoisseur” status.

Along the way, there will be culinary attractions including bites from popular area restaurants, as well as dueling Celebrity Chef Stages with appearances by Andy Husbands (The Smoke Shop), Preston Miller and Bing Lu (RUKA), David Becker (Juniper; Sweet Basil), and more.

Saturday: $110 per person; Sunday: $100 per person; Weekend Pass: $160 per person
*Tickets include a souvenir Boston Wine Expo glass, access to wine samples from over 200 producers, complimentary culinary samples, access to celebrity chef demos, product showcases, a program featuring locations of the exhibitors, information on celebrity chef demos and a schedule of guided tastings and seminars.

VINTNERS’ RESERVE LOUNGE – presented by LOLA Jewelry:
The Boston Wine Expo’s Vintners’ Reserve Lounge, presented by LOLA Jewelry, is the ideal setting for serious wine enthusiasts looking to sip their way through special vintages, as well as unique and small production wines.

Located in the Seaport Hotel’s Plaza Ballroom, the Vintners’ Reserve Lounge gives guests a chance to spoil their taste-buds with these special gems whose bottles retail for $45+ for whites and $75+ for reds while enjoying tastings from the city’s finest restaurants.

After picking up your upscale gift-bag filled with luxe products like olive oil and chocolate truffles and availing yourself of the VIP coat-check, get to exploring all that the Boston Wine Expo has to offer.

Hit up the VIP Experience Lounge on the Grand Tasting floor to toast with some Anna de Codorniu Sparkling Cava and refuel on delectable bites from Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse while lounging on plush sofas.

This year’s 2017 Educational Keynote Seminar is by Tim Hanni, the second American to earn the Master of Wine (MW) distinction, who will break down “Why You Like The Wines You Like.” Additionally, the seminar program has over 35 topics ranging from food and wine pairings, “One Hour Wine Experts,” and vertical tasting flights of the world’s most sought-after wine producers.

Over the years, the Expo has featured a blockbuster line-up of wine celebrities including Dominique Lafon, Dr. Harvey Finkel, Dr. Michael Apstein, Francois Perrin, Joel Butler, Daniel Bruce, Joe Heitz and many more.

And, as always, sipping at this event has a special cause.

The major charitable benefactor of the Boston Wine Expo is the Tufts Medical Center’s Summer Camp Program for Children with Disabilities.

To date, the Boston Guild of Oenophilists has raised over $1.4 million for worthy causes.

The Boston Wine Expo will take place at The Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center on February 18 and 19, 2017, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

This event is reserved for ages 21+.
