About Will McDonough
Will McDonough, a former Boston Globe columnist of 44 years, was the only Globe sportswriter to be nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. He passed away in January 2003 and was best known for his coverage of the Patriots and the National Football League.
McDonough was a mentor to young writers and for this reason, The Sports Museum and his colleagues from the Boston Globe dedicated this contest in his memory. Wining essays will be exhibited in The Sports Museum.
